Anyone anticipating Divinity Original Sin 3, this is not that. The studio stated ahead of time that a direct sequel to its critically acclaimed RPGs is not being worked on now.

That said, the developer referred to this new Divinity as a continuation of the core franchise. This phrasing suggests that the team is likely designing a more action-oriented experience instead of another turn-based title. Currently, it remains theory, as only a teaser video is available.

While its universe is classic fantasy, what truly sets Divinity apart is the remarkable agency given to the player.

Where many modern RPGs have streamlined options, Divinity is brimming with niche playthroughs only possible by choosing a specific type of character with a unique decision path.

The series is also wonderfully flexible, letting players to find creative solutions throughout the entire experience. Nearly every quest can be completed in diverse methods, frequently in surprising fashion.
